Excess lumber, a handy carpenter and an innovative father/son team clumsily brought Cook Portable Warehouses to fruition. Before the first building was even completed, they’d already sold it to a local man who decided the color, the roof style and more. They hadn’t even said it was for sale yet!

You can’t hide from cancer, but you can fight it. You can’t hide from cancer, but you can find hope despite it.

No matter where you are in life, you’ve been impacted by that horrible word we all dread to hear.  You may have battled it yourself. Or sat with a friend as they underwent chemo, wondering if you were really helping in that moment. You may be preparing yourself for the road ahead as the diagnosis just came down for your loved one.

Cancer touches us all, which is why year after year we gather together to Relay for Life.

“I helped set up a Cook lot just two weeks before Katrina hit, a few weeks later I went back to help and everything was gone.”

But, that didn’t stop Roger Parks and Cook Portable Warehouses from bringing families storage solutions during that tragic time.

Cook Portable Warehouses sells portable buildings, but, one Cook Dealer learned just how much Cook Cares and decided to be a part of it.  

Greg Cook, president of Cook Portable Warehouses, is a proud, active member of Veteran’s Airlift Command, an organization that partners corporate aircraft owners with wounded servicemen and servicewomen.

He has participated in more than 35 flights and continues to look for opportunities to give back to these brave individuals and their families.

Aircraft owners volunteer to fly combat wounded veterans and their families to events and functions free of charge and without the difficulties airline travel presents to those with prosthetics, etc. To learn more about the organization, visit their website.

Earlier this month, members of the management team of Cook Portable Warehouses traveled to Memphis, Tennessee to present a donation of $60,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital^®.

Staff members, including president and owner Greg Cook, co-owner and secretary/treasurer of Cook Sales Inc. Tedra Miller and Director of Marketing Jonathan Bevis, attended the check presentation ceremony and took a tour of the hospital.

At Cook Portable Warehouses, we work hard to be more than just a company that sells high quality portable buildings. With locations across the county in many diverse cities and states, it’s important for us to be a part of those communities.
