Cook Portable Warehouses

Seasonal Storage Shed Options

Dec 27, 2018 4:50:41 PM / by Cook Portable Warehouses

Each season has its own storage challenges. You may have an almost empty garage or shed during the Christmas season, but then after the holidays you’re desperate for more space. Or, during Summer you may purchase some new yard tools (or toys!) and discover your space just isn’t large enough for everything.

That’s why it’s important to plan out your seasonal storage needs as you search for the right garage or shed. We’ve started the list for you!

Winter:

During the colder months you have major holidays, snow and a new year with new gadgets. Here are items to consider as you plan for winter storage.

  • Christmas decorations

  • Snow shovels

  • Emergency kits

  • Lawn accessories (porch swing, lawn chairs, portable fire pit, yard decorations, etc.)

  • Christmas gifts (four wheeler, ATV, summer sports equipment, bikes, etc.)

Spring:

As the plants begin to bloom again and the sun begins to warm up the yard, you may find yourself antsy to make a big purchase. Here are some common items that are added to the storage shed during springtime.

  • Lawn mower

  • Garden equipment/supplies
  • Weed eater

  • Workbench and tools

  • Winter items (clothes, tools, etc.)

Summer:

It’s time for sunshine and fun! You may discover you’re spending less time in your yard and more time out on the water or at a local park. But, there are still items you’ll be looking for space to store.

  • New boat

  • ATV

  • Sports equipment (baseball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, etc.)

  • Biking gear

  • Camping Equipment
  • Swimming pool supplies (chemicals, cleaning tools)

Fall:

It’s cooler, the leaves are changing and you’re finishing up all of those home repair tasks before winter settles in. You’ll discover you’ve accumulated more than you realized over the summer that needs to be stored until Spring. Here are some common items:

  • Garden tools (water hose, shovels, planters)

  • Pool toys

  • Summer/Fall decorations

  • Motorcycle

  • Patio furniture

So, what’s the best solution?

There are a couple of different options, depending on the amount of storage you need and the space you’re working with. If you live in the city or have a very small yard, you may need to purge and then find storage benches for some of these items to fit on your back deck. But, if you have more space, then here are a few of the most popular storage shed options for a variety of needs:
