3 Things to Buy and What to Skip this February

Last month we shared 3 smart investments for January and 3 things to avoid or wait to purchase.  To revisit that information and plan for next January’s spending, read this post!

This month, we have a few more recommendations for smart investments as winter is winding down and everyone is looking forward to springtime. February is a good month to invest in larger, high priced items.

One solid investment year round is a Cook Portable Warehouse. With our lowest price guarantee, every shed purchased is ensured with this promise:

“If you find the same-size building with the same features at a lower advertised price, up to six months following your purchase, we will reduce the price by 50 percent.”

As a family owned company for more than three decades, it’s important for us to provide helpful advice and the best deals for our customers!

Here are 3 things to buy in February and a few things to wait on for a more optimal time later this year.

Winter products

With winter nearly over, now is the best time to invest in any cold-weather products that you need to replace. Stores will be looking to get rid of their inventory of winter supplies and apparel.

You should be able to find good deals on winter clothing, home supplies, and sporting accessories.

Home goods

On and after President’s Day, there will be many great deals on home goods, furniture, and mattresses. It’s smart to keep up with these holidays and make strategic decisions for large purchases around the sales.

Warehouse memberships

It can be difficult to commit to a yearly membership at warehouse grocery stores like Sam’s Club or Costco. But for large families, the savings from buying in bulk can really add up.

Often times these stores will offer annual discounts and extra incentives near the beginning of a new year. Make sure to do your research and compare prices and offerings at several different stores.

A few things to keep waiting to purchase are electronics like televisions and phones. If you didn’t follow our advice and invest in a new television last month, wait until late fall when there will be great sales again. For smartphones, keep waiting until late spring after the newest models are released.
